Chair
Generic chair, 2020
bachelor in industrial design
The brief for this project was to design a generic chair, and I aimed to stay as close to
that goal as possible.
I took the archetype of a chair and broke it down to its essential elements - a seat,
a backrest, and four legs. I reconstructed them over a structure that offered the components a sense of levitation.
My design was focused on optimizing industrial production efficiency for this chair.
I chose the materials, metal and wood, in order to achieve a balanced of warm and cold. The wood provides character and texture, while the metal frame provides structure
and durability.
